Ethiopian-American musician nominated at the 2009 Grammy Awards for his single "Say Goodbye to Love" in the category of Best Urban/Alternative Performance.
Born Kenna Zemedkun, he was inspired to teach himself to play the piano upon listening to U2's Joshua Tree.
He founded and produced the Summit on the Summit clean water initiative. He and Justin Timberlake partnered up to re-launch MySpace and he also has a strategic development company called Translator.
He attended school with friends and collaborators Chad Hugo and Pharrell.
