Otherwise known as Dee Dee, she is the founder and lead singer of the indie band Dum Dum Girls. She also has her own solo career and released the debut solo album X-Communicate in 2016.
She founded Dum Dum Girls in 2008 and released a five-song CDR on her own label, Zoo Music, that same year.
She was previously the singer and Drummer for the San Diego-based band Grand Ole Party.
Her birth name is Kristin Gundred, though she would later be known as Kristin Welchez. Her father's name is Donald.
In 2011, the Dum Dum Girls performed "Bedroom Eyes" on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
