At only fourteen years old, she began her career competing in a modeling contest. She later went on to study accounting at Far Eastern University.

Her father, william, is Chinese, while her mother is half-Filipino and half-Spanish. She has an older brother and a younger sister. She began dating actor Carlo Gonzales in 2010.
