Mariah Owen was born in  Toronto, Canada, is Producer, Actress, Writer. Mariah Owen is a Toronto-based actor, writer and producer. She is also an accomplished athlete, becoming a world champion with Team Canada Cheerleading as well as doing both Alpine Ski Racing and Synchronized swimming at the provincial level. First starting her career with modeling, when she was just 3 days old, she has gone on to perform in several theatre productions, sketch comedy and improv performances as well as musicals. Mariah has studied in Toronto, Los Angeles and Australia. She has been fortunate to study with Anthony Meindl, Anna and David Strasberg, Nahanni Johnstone, Lewis Baumander and Michelle Danner, to name a few. She has gone on to graduate from both the Comedy Writing and Improv programs at The Second City. She is currently finishing up her undergrad at the University of Toronto and will be attending UCLA next year for Screenwriting. When not exploring the world of Film and TV, Mariah is a member of Team Canada Cheerleading and the PCT Cobras on a team that will attend World Championships in 2016.

1985

Howell was born in Gastonia, North Carolina and graduated Winston-Salem State University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She worked as jazz singer and made her film debut in The Color Purple (1985). She lived in Okinawa, Japan, from 1995-2001.

2007

She made guest appearances on Drop Dead Diva, Army Wives, The Game, Necessary Roughness, and The Vampire Diaries, and well co-starred in films include Daddy's Little Girls (2007), Mississippi Damned (2009), The Blind Side (2009), and What to Expect When You're Expecting (2012).

2013

In 2013, Howell played Seeder in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Also in 2012, she was cast in recurring role of NBC post-apocalyptic series Revolution as Grace Beaumont, and in 2013 played Ida Hayes in Lifetime comedy-drama Devious Maids.
