Patricia Miller was born on July 04, 1936 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, United States. Patricia Miller and her friend Barbara Bradley Baekgaard founded Vera Bradley after noticing how drab women's luggage was while at the airport. Miller ran Vera Bradley as co-president from the year it was founded in 1982 until 2010, the year it went public. She retired in 2012, but she and her husband, Michael, with whom she shares the fortune, sit on the board. Miller serves as a director for the Indiana University Foundation and for the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer.
