First known for her supporting roles in shows like Kanıt and Hayat Devam Ediyor, she would go on to headline the 2014 television series Kertenkele. She has also appeared in films like 2012's Bana Bir Soygun Yaz and 2014's Bizim Hikaye.
She graduated from Bilkent University in 2000, however she wouldn't make her acting debut until 2009 in the film Aşk Geliyorum Demez.
A passionate singer, she released her debut single "Hayat Devam Ediyor" in 2011.
Her parents are Serap and Ahmet Tokdemir. Her father is a renowned horse-owner in Turkey. She married Göksel Gencer in 2003 and they have a son named Boran.
She appeared in the 2013 romantic drama Water and Fire alongside Ozcan Deniz and Yasemin Kay Allen.
