In 2013, she played a small role in the ninth season of the Waterloo Road series as the role of Eve Boston.
In 2015, she appeared as a guest role in the medical series Doctors where she played Ellen Singleton in the episode "Revenge".
Skelton's first major role came in Charlotte Stente Nielsen's 2016 fantasy horror short film Blackbird. Her other films include The War I Knew (2014), Another Mother's Son (2017), #211 (2018) and Day of the Dead: Bloodline (2018). Her breakthrough came in the part of a powerful girl in the 2016 British action adventure fantasy drama series Ren: The Girl with the Mark, for which she received several awards and nominations.
