Son of Thomas Edison who founded of Calibron Industries, Inc, which had a laboratory in West Orange, New Jersey. He was also a staunch advocate for environmentalism and he was a vocal opponent of the Vietnam War.
He attended the Montclair Academy, making him the first person in his family to get a college degree.
He worked as technical Director or research and engineering for Thomas A. Edison, Inc.
In 1925, he married Anna Osterhout.
He was the fourth son of Thomas Alva Edison.
