National Football League coach who served as Offensive Coordinator for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Indianapolis Colts. In 2014 he held this position with the Arizona Cardinals. While he was was the OC for Indianapolis Colts they won the Super Bowl in 2007.
He received a degree in history from the University of Iowa, where he was also the football team's quarterback.
He served as offense coach for football teams at several universities, including Wake Forest, Minnesota, and Georgia Tech.
He was born in Owatonna, Minnesota, and he grew up in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa.
He was instrumental in the athletic development of football star Peyton Manning, who was the quarterback of the Super Bowl XLI-winning Indianapolis Colts team.
