Legend of Indiana Sports who coached football, baseball, and most importantly baseball at Butler University, winning 1,000 games combined among all three.
He was a three-sport letterman at the University of Chicago, earning All-American honors in basketball in 1920.
He coached basketball for 41 years at Butler College, and was dubbed the 'Dean of Indiana College Basketball Coaches,' having at one point 55 of his former players coach basketball in the state.
He was born in Logansport, Indiana.
He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, as a contributor - the same honor earned by James Naismith himself.
