After graduating with his degree in business, he and his brothers formed the Ubisoft company in 1986. It originally began as a publishers' game distribution company until he set up the first subsidiaries outside France in 1989. In 2000, he started serving as both the overall production and distribution manager for the company.
Trivia
He is also known for having won a three year battle with the Vivendi entertainment company to keep the rights for the popular video game series Assassin's Creed.

He was born and raised in France and has four brothers who helped found the Ubisoft company with him.
