Autumn Reeser is an American actress born in Southern California to Kim and Tom Reeser. She and her younger sister, Melissa, were raised in Carlsbad and Oceanside in a home that valued and respected the arts. Melissa became a prolific writer/poet and Autumn performed in numerous musicals with the Carlsbad Youth Theater from the ages of six to seventeen. She credits seeing a child portray a mouse in a local performance of 'Cinderella' as the moment that interested her in acting. As a child, Autumn was an avid reader, and won an award from her local library for 'Most Books Read in One Summer.' Her favorite books included the Nancy Drew, Encyclopedia Brown, and Linda Craig detective series. She was a good student, involved in the Gifted and Talented Program, and was a recipient of a Scholastic award for her part as a preteen reporter in a documentary on the local homeless. She attended Carlsbad High School, where she participated in French club, cheerleading, and school plays, and worked at the clothing shop Wet Seal on the weekends. She was on Homecoming Court and voted Most Beautiful in her graduating year.At the age of seventeen, Autumn moved to Los Angeles to study at UCLA and pursue an acting career. To support herself she waitressed in the evenings at Jerry's Famous Deli, the Gypsy Cafe, and Cafe 50's in Westwood. Eventually she began interning at a casting directors office, where she learned 'the ins and outs' of the film and television business. She quickly landed a manager and agent, and booked her first role, an alien girl on 'Star Trek: Voyager' at the age of 20. Her career progressed to numerous guest-starring roles on sitcoms such as 'The George Lopez Show' and 'Grounded For Life', and dramas such as 'Cold Case' and 'CSI'. Her breakout role came in 2005, as the quirky-cute and socially awkward Taylor Townsend on the final two seasons of The O.C. (2003), for which she received high critical acclaim. She's also known for her role as firecracker junior agent Lizzie Grant on HBO's 'Entourage' as scientist Katie Andrew in ABC's No Ordinary Family (2010), along with actors Michael Chiklis, Julie Benz. In 2012, she starred as weapons expert Kylie Sinclair in Shawn Ryan's short-lived political thriller Noi Chon Cuoi Cung (2012), on ABC. She also appeared as Dr. Gabrielle Asano on Hawaii 5-0, sports agent Abby Bruce opposite John Stamos on Necessary Roughness, and she has lead the cast in numerous romantic comedies for Hallmark.Autumn serves on the board of the SAG-AFTRA union and is an advocate for women, performers and working parents. Biography/Timeline

2001

In 2001, she started out in Hollywood in an episode of Star Trek: Voyager. Shortly thereafter, she booked guest roles in dramas CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Cold Case, and moved onto recurring parts in the sitcoms Grounded for Life, Maybe It's Me and Complete Savages.

2005

She rose to fame through her role of Taylor Townsend on the Fox hit series The O.C. (2005-2007). The character was intended to appear in four episodes only, but her role was revised and expanded.

2006

Since 2006, she has been a member of The WorkJuice Players, a theater troupe primarily known for The Thrilling Adventure Hour, a popular L.A. staged production in the style of old-time radio. She stars in the Amelia Earhart segment, playing the famed pilot, traveling through time; as well as playing a wide variety of other characters in other segments. In 2015, Autumn Reeser and The Thrilling Adventure Hour were invited to perform in New York and Chicago, then Australia (Sydney) and New Zealand (Auckland and Wellington). Other members in the troupe include Paul F. Tompkins, Paget Brewster and Busy Philipps.

2009

On May 9, 2009, Reeser married Writer and Director Jesse Warren in Ojai, California. She and Warren have two sons: Finneus 'Finn' James, born May 10, 2011, and Dashiell 'Dash' Ford, born November 25, 2013. In November 2014, Reeser filed for divorce from Warren.

2012

In late 2012, she received positive reviews for Hallmark's Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade, in which she was the main heroine. Shortly after, she appeared in a number of romantic comedies aired on the Hallmark Channel, with leading roles in such TV movies as Midnight Masquerade (October 2014), I Do, I Do, I Do (February 2015), A Country Wedding (June 2015), Valentine Ever After (February 2016), etc.

2015

In 2015, she was elected to SAG-AFTRA's National and Los Angeles Local Boards.

2016

She appeared in Clint Eastwood's biopic Sully, released in September 2016 and starring Tom Hanks.

Reeser was born in La Jolla, Southern California, the daughter of Tom and Kim Reeser. She spent her childhood developing a solid foundation for her acting career by playing a wide variety of characters in local musical theater productions, from the age of seven until seventeen. After high school, she moved to Los Angeles and enrolled in UCLA’s competitive theater program, where she studied theater history, acting technique, dance, voice and movement. She also studied acting at the Beverly Hills Playhouse.
