Rugby coach and former player who has coached teams like the Wests Tigers and South Sydney Rabbitohs. He led New Zealand to their first-ever Rugby League World Cup and Tri-Nations titles.
He was born in Christchurch, New Zealand and made his debut with the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs in 1996.
Though he has often played for New Zealand, he has also represented Aotearoa Maori at the Rugby World Cup.
He has daughters named Aaliyah and Zali.
He won the 2010 Rugby League World Cup alongside teammate Benji Marshall.
