English actor best known for his work with Director and writer Victoria Wood. He appeared in the Sketch comedy program Victoria Wood As Seen On TV and in the sitcom Dinnerladies. He is also known for his role as Douglas Potts on the popular British soap opera Emmerdale.
In the early 1970s, he played the role of PC Fred Pooley in close to 40 episodes of Hunter's Walk.
