Colombian attacking midfielder and winger who won the Golden Boot Award at the 2014 World Cup after tallying 6 goals in the tournament. In 2017, he joined Bayern Munich on loan from Real Madrid, whom he originally started playing for in 2014. He debuted for the Colombian national team in 2011.
He began his professional career with Envigado in 2007, at just 16 years of age. He then went on to play for AS Monaco, Porto and Banfield.
In 2011, he won the LPFP Award for Breakthrough Player of the season.
He married volleyball player Daniela Ospina in 2011; however they divorced in 2017 after six and a half years of marriage. They have a daughter named Salome.
He joined Fredy Guarin on the Colombian national team in 2011.
