Professional cricket player known for playing for the Sinhalese Sports Club, Tamil Union Cricket and Athletic Club, and Kandurata. He took gold at the 2014 Asian Games.
He made his cricketing debut in 2000 in the under-19 ranks.
He played for the Delhi Daredevils in 2013.
He was born Balapuwaduge Manukulasuriya Amith Jeevan Mendis in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
He has played alongside fellow Sri Lankan cricketer Kumar Sangakkara.
