Longtime tennis player who won three Australian Open titles as well as Wimbledon and the US Open in the 1990s. She also won a Grand Slam junior title at age 12.
Her mother was a tennis pro who got her started in tournaments when she was 4 years old.
She was ranked World No. 1 for a total of 209 weeks.
She married Thibault Hutin in December 2010.
She twice reached the French Open finals, losing to Steffi Graf 4–6, 7–5, 6–2 in 1999.
