Singaporean singer and Actress who has won Star Awards ranging from Top 10 Most Popular Female Artistes to Best Actress to Favourite Female Character and more. Between 2004 and 2015, she won 20 Star Awards, capping it off in 2016 by winning the All-Time Favourite Artiste Award.
She was first discovered after she appeared in the popular SingTel hi!Card commercial in 2001. She made her acting debut in a drama called No Problem and launched her music career in late 2002 in Taiwan with an album called Rui ∑n vol. 01.
She was made spokesperson for L'Oréal Paris Youth Code in 2013. She was presented with the Nanyang Outstanding Young Alumni Award by her alma mater, Nanyang Technological University, where she had previously graduated with a Bachelor of Business, specializing in banking and Finance, in 2004.
Her full name is Lu Rui En. She was raised as an only child and her parents divorced when she was 17.
She played the female lead in Jay Chou's music video for his song "Secret Code."
