Famous for portraying Anya MacPherson on the popular Canadian teen series Degrassi: The Next Generation, she is also notable for her role as Sarah MacDonald in the 2009 film The Bend, as well as for her recurring role on the television series Wildcard.
Before making her television debut, she was active in community theater, appearing in productions of The Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland at the Oshawa Little Theatre in Ontario, Canada.
Her humanitarian work in Ecuador and India was documented by MTV Canada.
She was born and raised in Courtice, Ontario, Canada.
She and Melinda Shankar were both series regulars on Degrassi: The Next Generation.
