Scottish religious leader who served as the Minister of the Church of Scotland and was the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland from 1997 until 1998.
He had a job in the timber industry during the 1950s and and trained in ministry at Trinity College.
He co-presented the Scottish television show That's the Spirit! in the early 1980s.
He had a daughter and two sons with his wife, Helen who passed away in 2007.
