She first trained as a musician, then studied English Literature at university. Her work spans screen, stage, radio, concert hall and recording studio; acting, composing, writing, directing and teaching. Early theatre work combined acting, improvisation, singing, songwriting, music composition and directing, often with new writers, often at the Royal Court; she has also performed in the classics, and worked with major companies (the National, Royal Shakespeare Company etc) and in the West End. She created the role of Yoko Ono in the West End musical LENNON, which started life in Liverpool, the home of The Beatles. She is experienced in comedy as well as dramatic roles.
