An avid outdoorsman and all-state athlete, Paul got his first paying gig on an Eastman Kodak commercial as a star football player. Paul attended Whitman College, located in Washington State, on a basketball scholarship where he earned degrees in 17th century English Literature and Dramatic Arts. After graduation, Paul began his career working in the theater while filming feature films, television commercials and appearing in international print campaigns. Soon after, he landed a role on the ABC daytime drama, General Hospital (1963), where he portrayed "Paul Hornsby" from 1991-1994. Three years of G.H. prepared him for prime-time and Paul soon began working as a regular on the CBS summer series Hotel Malibu (1994) with Jennifer Lopez. After numerous guest appearances, Paul began working with Aaron Spelling and played "Tom Massick" for two seasons on the WB series Savannah (1996) and one season on the short-lived drama Pacific Palisades (1997). Paul starred for one year on the CBS daytime series The Bold and the Beautiful (1987), and continued acting in television pilots Inside Schwartz (2001) and Coupling (2003) for NBC; feature films,including Universal's Bruce Almighty (2003) starring Jim Carrey; and plays like "Crime of the Heart", directed by Garry Marshall, starring Faith Ford and Crystal Bernard. In his free time, Paul enjoys spending time on his family property in the Pacific Northwest. Paul was born on August 19. He is 6' 4" with dark blond hair and green/blue eyes.

Biography/Timeline

1998

After numerous appearances of the big and small screens, Satterfield returned to soap operas portraying Dr. Pierce Peterson on The Bold and the Beautiful from 1998 to 1999 and 2001-2002. He then had guest roles on shows such as 7th Heaven, Will & Grace and the American version of the British sitcom, Coupling. He later appeared alongside Jim Carrey in the 2003 film, Bruce Almighty.

2005

Satterfield was often mistaken for Christopher Reeve because of their striking resemblance. He reminisced about the confusion from the press and public in a 2005 issue of ABC Soaps In Depth magazine, "As soon as I would show up, I would get mobbed by the press and everybody thinking I was him because he was supposed to be there." The case of mistaken identity would continue throughout the night, where Satterfield would frequently have to tell the confused onlookers, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I think the person you want to talk to is over there," only to overhear people later refer to him as "Chris Reeve's little brother." But Satterfield did meet the heroic actor a few times, and the two would joke about their eerie physical similarities. "It was almost like when we would shake hands, it was like shaking my own hand. We had the same height - 6'4", the same build - you know, it was just unbelievable."

2007

Satterfield most recently portrayed Dr. Spencer Truman on the ABC soap opera, One Life to Live, a role he originated in June 2005. His character was killed off on January 26, 2007, but Satterfield continued to make numerous appearances via flashbacks and dreams until August 2007.
