Sapru has acted in several daily soaps like Qubool Hai, Saat Phere, Tumhari Pakhi, Yahaaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli and Palampur Express. Sapru is famous for his portrayal of Amatsya Rakshas in the Dangal TV/Imagine TV historical television series Chandragupta Maurya which depicts the life of great ancient Indian Emperor Chandragupta Maurya. He also played role of Greek king Seleucus I Nicator in Colors TV serial Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat. Sapru played the role of Chanakya in ABP News TV series Bharatvarsh in 2016.
