Christopher Pang was born in Melbourne, Australia. He is the son of two martial arts instructors and he is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese. In 2010, Chris Pang started his film career as a lead actor in Tomorrow, When the War Began. Later Christopher Pang acted in the feature film Citizen Jia Li, I, Frankenstein starring Aaron Eckhart, The Weinstein Company's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny as well as recurred in season two of Marco Polo for Netflix.
In April 2017, it was announced he joined the cast for the Warner Bros. film adaptation of Crazy Rich Asians directed by Jon M. Chu and starring Constance Wu and Michelle Yeoh.
