Nick Mohammed was born on October 04, 1980 in  Leeds, England, United Kingdom, is Actor, Writer. Nick was born in Leeds on 4th October 1980 and on leaving school was offered a place at Cambridge university but instead chose to study geophysics at the university of Durham, graduating with a First. Whilst at Durham he became involved in the local comedy circuits but on leaving did accept an offer from Cambridge to read for a doctorate in seismology. However he never completed his course because, after joining the Footlights Revue and appearing at the Edinburgh Fringe he was spotted by a BBC producer who offered him radio work. He has since appeared in numerous sitcoms - 'Miranda', 'Life's Too Short' and most notably as the annoying promotions manager in Jessica Knappett's 'Drifters'. In 2014 his persona of Mr Swallow attracted huge critical claim in a comic reworking of Dracula on stage and two years later he was similarly lauded as this time Mr Swallow took on the role of Harry Houdini, appearing nightly in a glass tank like Houdini himself, the show transferring from Edinburgh and opening in London's Soho theatre in 2017.

Biography/Timeline

2010

Mohammed was a cast member of BAFTA-nominated CBBC Sketch show Sorry, I've Got No Head and supported Angelos Epithemiou (as one of his radio show characters, Mr. Swallow) on his 2010 national tour.

2015

In 2015, he joined the cast of ITV comedy The Job Lot.

2018

He has also written and starred in two series of 'Detective Sergeant Nick Mohammed', a comedy set in a police station, for BBC Radio 4. In 2018, he will voice Piglet in the upcoming Disney film Christopher Robin.

2019

Following his hit BBC Radio 4 debut (Quarters), Mohammed’s second series Nick Mohammed in Bits attracted further critical acclaim.
